But 2566 means you are failed as professional chess player. At least that something is wrong with you. You are either lazy or not talented or missing something to get > 2600. Obviously he used to be talented and he doesn't lose games because of some 5 ply blunder now and then after playing a perfect game. So that doesn't explain his rating either. So let's not get private and discuss what it is with Larry, but something is wrong IMHO. Some years ago i had the chance to live play him for a few weeks a year and that for several years. after that all i did was see him play online. His favourite back then was doing 1 0 games and like his own games it is basically getting crushed whole game and then when opponent makes a tactical mistake he strikes. His rating is above what he shows. Of course he's strategical real good and no doubt any book he writes will be good too. Always being on the bad side of the game means you know how to win positions where you have a better position. Look my style ain't much better than Larry's, but i am not a professional player at all... ...i toast guys like larry in analysis always. But now i know i get a million replies upon what i wrote above. I didn't mean it serious what i wrote above. HAHAHAHAHAHA. We can argue about my statement whether he has a nice chess style, but saying he plays better with 2 minutes a move than with 3 minute a move is the most idiotic statement ever done. With his suicidal play (commit suicide then if your opponent is about to crucify you, try to win by forfeiting him or pin him down by a tactical error) of course he needs more time than anyone else to not get outsearched by the computer as that's the only style he can play himself too. >In the chessmaster 9000 match with Larry Christiansen the time control was -- >2 minutes + 120 seconds per move as you probaly already know. > >My point is that Larry didn't seem to be in time trouble in any of his games >as he always had plenty of time on his clock.
