Go up one level in this thread
Larry Christiansen was higher rated in the past, but now his USCF Rating taken
from August 2002 issue is "2642". He is still very active and winning his share
of games with 2600 players and some even stronger!
He plays 25 minute games several times a week on world Chess Network against
many Grandmasters and wins quite his share of games! (18.5 to 7.5)
Your Statement Vince: saying he plays better with 2 minutes a move than with 3
minute a move is the most idiotic statement ever done.
I never commented about 3 minutes a move being better than 2 minutes a move.
Larry stated that the time control he played (2minutes + 120 seconds per move)
seemed to benifit him better than the time control 30 moves in 60 minutes that
was originaly agreed upon. The only reason this time control wasn't used was
because ICC don't use this type of time control on their site!
Tomorrow i will present you with a list of all the Grandmasters that Larry -
Christiansen won in 25 minute games over the last 2 months!
He has an incredible score of 18.5 points out of a total of 26 games!! This
don't sound like a weak player to me!
Regards,
Terry
