No you don't have to do that, I'll take your word for it :)

He has 2578 in FIDE:

May be it was higher in the past, he must be 48 or something (isn't it possible
to get a time/rating graph?).

The point was merely that you shouldn't compare USCF with FIDE (I assume Vincent
meant FIDE) ;)
