4.Bd3 is not too bad, since after c2-c3 and Bc2, it reaches its normal place
in the Ruy Lopez. I remember reading about the "Kopec System" in a magazine. The
article was from IM Danny Kopec and the line went on like this 1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6
3.Bd3!? followed by c2-c3 and Bc2... he he he! See? 4.Bd3 was full of
creativity!
