My first chess program was written in QBasic. However, I would strongly recommend switching to C or C++. Well written, it will be TOTALLY faster. However, QBasic is a neat language, so if you need any help, I'll try to think of something helpful to say..... Because of my tactless programming style, even my C++ program is not too fast :) James
