Sounds like an idea that won't ever fly - even out of MS. I'm sure every printer
OEM will know they MUST have a suitable set of drivers for their products on any
new Windows OS.

And it will be done, because their product marketing says it HAS to be done.

End of a (rather peculiar) rumor.
