Hi all, most of you will have noticed that I'm not spending much time on chess anymore, but I still can't resist testing the newest programs. :) So I'm running a little tournament "Harthcore* 2002" (60/game) on my dual XP-1800+, 1 GB, pondering on, with the following results so far: Deep Junior 7.0 - Ruffian 1.0 2.5:1.5 (+2 =1 -1) Shredder 6.02 - Chess Tiger 15.0 3.0:1.0 (+2 =2 -0) Hiarcs 8.0 - Fritz 7.0a 0.0:0.0 (+0 =0 -0) First to reach 5.5 wins. So far a good performance by Ruffian which lost game 4 under time pressure in the endgame. Tiger has played a little disappointing so far, I've been missing the biting strength and killer instinct I've seen in Gambit Tiger 2. But more games will tell more, as usual. --- Shep (*) Yes I can spell. :-)
