Hello there, very interesting positions and excellent results of your algorithm ! Thanks for sharing. I recently also implemented an indea to detect "no-progress" positions-detection in my chess program. It integrates with the normal search (i.e. no sophisticated flood-fill or special sub-search). I will let it run on your positions and see how it does, and also post the positions I had problems with. See you, Georg
