Go up one level in this thread

Let's compare real ratings instead of the inflated USCF ratings.
Let's take the ONLY international rating list there is on this
entire planet: FIDE rating.

Larry's FIDE rating is about 2550 now which means he's an average GM
to european standards, definitely not even close to world top 100,
where you need >= 2600 for.

In fact i just drew a real 2600+ GM:

GM jeroen piket (2646 FIDE, that's about 2900 uscf to compare).

I was basically reacting onto the stupid statement of some that
the level of 2 120 was a good one. it's a very idiotic level. All his
life in big tournaments Larry has played 40 in 2.

Now he gets paid to not win and quicker level. it's not realistic to
say he plays world top then. Instead he plays like an IM then. Who
wouldn't?

Sure he was a big player a few years ago, but you must be realistic now.
Age is very important in sports, also in chess!

Blundercheck those games too will you, to see what his score would be
against computers there. I bet closer to 0% than to 50%

He is getting weak now, really.
