I like the nunn test because I think the games following  the nunn positions are
interesting but if you want more objective test about the relative playing
strength
of chess programs then it is better to use not known positions.

For this purpose you can use the positions after the 10 move of black in the
first rounds of the last tournament of at least category 16.
and these positions are not fixed.

If you use fixed positions then programmers may learn the weaknesses of their
program in the fixed positions.
