Aren't the ratings of top commercial and free chess engines pretty clear? By
playing games against these programs, you get a realistic estimate of your
engine's rating, don't you?

I can't be sure that my program is weaker or stronger than engine X or Y, and
frankly I don't care at the moment. I have still 1 year, 1 months, and 19 days
left to work on it ;-)
