the point GCP makes is that "only" 10 seconds is much too long if you are in a
position deciding whether to trade into this pawn ending or not. to answer that
question right, your static eval would have to recognize that white has a
potential passer on the queenside (easy) and it would have to understand whether
this passer is dangerous or not (very hard!)
