No - there are no reliable ratings for just about any chess program - reliable
in the sense that the current program has played the required number of games
against human opponents @ standard time controls under tournament conditions.

Thus we are left with computer vs computer games and estimates by programmers
and users. I no longer believe that computer vs computer ratings can reliably
predict ratings against human opponents. Computers vs Computer ratings are more
reliable in predicting ratings against computer opponnets.

Chess Genius at its own webpage (http://www.chessgenius.com/faq.htm) cites your
own review at Palm Gear as thes best independent assessment of it's playing
strength. I think 2000 USCF is in the ball park. Tiger for Palm would be a
little higher. Neither of these units can hold their own against the best
portables TASC R30, Mephisto Genius 68030 etc. I have an old Saitek 2100 that
these units can beat up on a little bit. I think the rating of the 2100 was
near 1900-1950 , with a very weak end game.
