From the games that have been played so far by the SSDF, it seems that Chess
Tiger 14.9a for Palm running on a Palm m505 overclocked to 42MHz is going to
achieve a SSDF rating close to 2100 elo.
The SSDF ratings have been calibrated to be comparable to FIDE ratings. But they
have been calibrated for the high end computers (fast PCs), and I think that the
consequence is that the lower end (where the Palm is) is underestimated.
From games played between ChessGenius for Palm and Chess Tiger for Palm, it
seems that ChessGenius is approximately 100 elo points under Chess Tiger. The
SSDF has not played enough games with ChessGenius so far to compute any rating.
The rating of Chess Tiger 14.9a for Palm on a non-overclocked PalmIIIc should be
somewhere between 2150 and 2100 SSDF (FIDE) elo.
I am the author of Chess Tiger, but I think I have tried to be as objective as
possible here.
