How many professionals participated in france ??? :-)))) how big are the chances to be better than amateurs when the only professional is tiger ?? tiger 15 is weaker in tournaments because it plays more acurate (petrosian alike) than other tiger versions. this playing style is not good for tournaments. it is on the other hand better for long matches. for championships it would IMO be better to participate with an aggressive program that shortly after the opening takes over initiative. but : you "told us so". why do we test programs anyway ? maybe it would be much easier to ask you before, and write a religious speech about in CCC :-))) we sell our PC's, and become a member of your relgion :-)) the style of tiger versions has changed IMO very often: tiger 11.2 was IMO agressive attacker, took the initiative soon tiger 12 was petrosian, calm and positional player tiger 13 aggressive tiger 14 aggressive tiger 15 more like petrosian with a piece of fischer IMO I do prefer the more aggressive programs too. with a passive program, you can be lucky to get a draw (in ONE game). thats not enough for a tournament . in a tournament you must collect as much points as you can get. a draw is not enough. so passive style leads to losses.
