I do have the SMP version of the executable, but I did not have the mt=2 in my crafty.rc. In fact, I did not even have a crafty.rc file, I just launched from winboard with -cp -fcp "wcrafty xboard hash=64m" -fd "E:\Program Files\Crafty" I just created a crafty.rc and put mt=2 into it. Now when I run wcrafty from the command line (no winboard) it still says (4 cpus) but also says "max threads set to 2". Thanks for the tip, Bob. Darn, now I have to start all over! <grin> Dave Gomboc
