If he could force himself to do that, I think >he could win just as handily as Kramnik. i don't think so. kasparov is "not himself" when he attempts to play this kind of chess. he draws his strength in part from hypnotizing his opponents (not quite like tal, but a bit: tal used to creat super-complicated positions with sometimes incorrect sacrifices, because he knew he would outcalculate his opponents in them). of course kasparov is a fantastic chess player and all, but if he has to force himself to do something he normally wouldnt do to win the match then that will be a problem for him. personally, i think kasparov will try to destroy junior even worse than whatever kramnik does to DF in the end, because obviously this kasparov-DJ contest is some sort of duel between the two K's too. this should make for some very exciting chess! i also think kasparov will try to prove that humans are better than computers in quite normal positions with queens too, just to prove the point. he is both stubborn and good enough to do that! aloha martin > >> >>>Chess Tiger might have done better.
