But the Fritz-team >belive that this is a strong move - I belive this not! > >Eduard hi eduard, i still haven't found any place where you can see what the last book move by fritz was. so i have no idea about 17. e5 - is it still book or not? i don't agree with your comment on 8...Be6 in your german text though. 8...Be6 seems to be played quite often there, with decent results. e.g. shirov played it once against lautier. i think it is quite probable that this move was part of kramnik's preparation for kasparov! if 17. ef5, you improve black's pawn structure. true, it's still not great, but black has active pieces in compensation. the game with 17.ef5 was won by black too - thanks to his active pieces. not very convincing, the whole line :-) aloha martin
