I think that the problem is that a lot of programs have positional scores that
are too high and evaluate pawn structure too much.

They can see that Nd5 c6 Nf6 Bxf6 exf6 is losing the pawn f6 but they evaluate
the pawn structure's problems of black as enough compensation.
