Firstly, the applet on the chessbase website broke down at move 25 - which was inconvenient to say the least. More importantly though is that watching the crushing way that Kramnik is destroying Fritz is simply too depressing - I can't take another day like yesterday. Even at move 25 (when chessbase coverage broke), it was obvious, even to me, that Kramnik's positional advantage was absolutely overwhelming. Fritz seems to be unable to put up any sort of serious fight. It's like watching a 10 year old kid in the boxing ring with Lennox Lewis. Tomorrow, I shall simply look at the result in the evening - long after the game is over. I still regard Fritz as a superb computer for playing humans - but I realise now that ABSOLUTELY NO computer program on the SSDF list could give Kramnik a game under the conditions of this match. So sorry Fritz - you'll have to do without me tomorrow - but best of luck! -g
