Roy, My board is a - KT7A(-RAID) just left that off as same basic board, and revision 1.0, and yes according to Abit's web site the Althlon XP is not supported except on revision 1.3 - i.e. if it does not work its bad luck. I had read on various discussion databases that people were not having problems and 2 friends one with the RAID and one with the non-raid versions had successfully installed a XP1900+ and a XP1800+. The manual stated that 12.5 x 133 was supported so I thoght I would risk it. The PC is 100% stable so far and has run various bench marking burn in tests and is currently running a match between Crafty and Ruffian this has been running for several days. You will need to flash your bios I am using kt7a9 from Abit's site make sure you use the one for correct revision. Warning: You can write off your motherboard during a bios flash - a power cut or corrupt boot disk could be fatal. I might have been lucky You will have to manually set up the CPU in the BIOS (from memory it was 12above for the CPU multiplier) got me worried as I expected 12.5. A good web site: http://www.sudhian.com/faqs.cfm/fid/2.sud I am very happy I picked up the XP2000+ for a reasonable price and I have doubled my performance (relative to chess or at least the programs I have measured). Crafty and Tiger 14. If you give it a go good luck.
