Remember, Junior was winning big time over Fritz when they played the match to
determine who would play Kramnik. Junior was winning because of a bug or small
error or something in Fritz's king safety. The Fritz team corrected the error,
and went on to come back from a seemingly hopeless margin to win the match.

So...maybe they didn't "do a whole lot between games", but it doesn't take "a
whole lot" to make a huge difference. If Kramnik was hammering away at a similar
weakness in Fritz, and they were allowed to change it during the match, it could
be the difference in who wins the match. This was true at least in the
Junior-Fritz match, but my personal opinion is that it wouldn't matter one ioda
against Kramnik, especially at this point.
