Subject: Chessmaster 8000->9000 on Windows 2000, did problems get fixed?,

Did anyone here have problems running Chessmaster 8000 on Win2k, such as the
'only Chessmaster plays in tournaments" bug? If you *had* this bug, and upgraded
to Chessmaster 9000, did that fix it? Did you experience other bugs?

Things I already know:
    a) Chessmaster 2000 is not supported on Win2k,
    b) the "CM-only" bug is reportedly fixed in XP
    c) there may be 3D video driver issues

PS my Win2k PC came, as befits a work-oriented machine, with an unimpressive
video chip. I believe it is some manner of Intel 82815.
