Also note please that I want to discuss CC and not the private person Ed, hope this should be clear. As for the argument you are wrong. For two reasons. First of all chess masters usually could play for 10 hours or more. Once they are in a game. It's also important not to be a typical (unintentional!) zeitnot player. Second you can't force an experienced master to follow you into Blitz mode. At least not in tournament games! This is his trained period of time for a good game of chess. So either you played good chess no matter in what time or you played weak chess. But the usual masterwould never play bad chess just because you start to play fast chess. Let me make a prognosis. Also the DEEP FRITZ team will have some points left. That is simply a consequence of the whole deal. Without ChessBase Kramnik wouldn't have got the chance to take 1 million US $ with him. He's a gentleman and will allow some draws and perhaps awin for Fritz. In football we call it the Ehrentor, meaning the goal of honor, or for the honor of having played you... Ed, your Rebel is one of the most experienced machine against human chess players, but do you believe that you had a serious chance against such players, Kasparov, Kramnik? I mean who are van der Wiel and van Wely? There is only _one_ Timman in Holland! Although he had a brother who also played chess in the old days... Rolf Tueschen
