By broad or wide I mean "not selective", eg. a limited number of deep
variations. If it was narrow the above lines wouldn't be playable at all. As
mentioned previously, the book is based on a small PGN collection and
comparatively high frequency. This means quite a few short lines when dealing
with unusual continuations (or uncommon GM variations). And the opposite with
popular lines.
