Go and ask in a typical support centre for a Windows product whether there is someone who would be capable to support a customer on a Mac or a Linux platform. (don't be surprised if most of them think that Linux is a Windows application, they might have heard of 'Mac' before but they'll feel uneasy because they don't know exactly what it is) Selling 500 units for $50 would give you 25000$. The guess the production costs would easily be higher for such a small quantity, given it's for a different platform. (they don't just burn a CD - they're professionals and have to write a handbook, make a nice box and whatnot) Add to this just one person who could support the product under that OS and you're going back financially. Sargon (who would also pay 100$ for a commercial chess engine)
