I am using them successfully, but they do not improve positional play. Instead they take care i search less deeply, which hurts positional play of course. However, it has to solve some testpositions quicker. I can't allow while all dudes here try tactical tricks at programs, that mine doesn't solve it in years, whereas many commercial programs which are tuned to find tactics quickly (Fritz especially, and it DOES hurt its performance) find it at lightning speed.
