You still don't get it.

It doesn't matter if I bite the hand of Windows.

If Windows loses market, people will anyway use another OS.

I will not lose a single sale. I'll sell more Chess Tiger for Linux or for
MacOS, that's all.

That's why I can say exactly what I think about Microsoft and the way they are
turning their OS into an advertising platform for their other products. Which is
the reason why they will give it away for free or almost in a few years.

But free or not, it remains that Windows is becoming with each release closer
and closer to a Trojan horse.

I'm just trying to analyse and think about a product that so many people in the
world use. People use it without understanding the implications.

It's just now that Microsoft has raised dramatically the price for the right to
use their products (and turned it into a kind of yearly tax) that IT managers
realize how locked with Windows they are. And start to see if there are
alternatives, but now they know that this dependance is going to cost them a
lot. And getting rid of it is going to be painful.

A long time ago, a few people started to say that smoking was dangerous. Nobody
cared, until people started to die from cancer.

I think that it is important to have a deep thinking on the things we are using
every day. Are they safe or not?

I see a danger in Windows, and the Microsoft that hides behind it. I say it.

I see an alternative that is not dangerous, I say it.

I did not bring in the subject. You did.

Actually it started as Peter hates Chess Tiger because Christophe rants about
Windows.

Who started the ranting here?

You have problems to project yourself into the future, do you? :)

It does not matter how well you know the present. If you are not able to
consider things on an abstract level, you cannot see where we are going to.
