I understand what you are saying but I don't think Kramnik would spend many months studying Fritz. The book is not so important when playing Kramnik. I'm sure he is up on most any opening you can cook up. My Fritz 7 played most of the moves the "new" deep Fritz 7 played very quickly. The programs do not change that much in less than 1 year. In any case I think the bottom line is that todays programs on PC's are somewhere between Christiansen and Kramnik. Not really a surprise to anyone here. Jim
