Subject: Deep Fritz may not be necessarily weaker compared to Deep Blue

Deep Fritz may not be necessarily weaker compared to Deep Blue. If the match
rules of Fritz vs Kramnik were applied in Kasparov vs Deep Blue, it would be a
totally different story. If Kasparov knows that Deep Blue can miss drawing
combinations, then he would look for it in their game 2 encounter. Kasparov will
have more rest and he would not crack up in game 6. The programmers, being able
to change the engine parameters is also a big factor.

I don’t think deep Blue can solve Kramnik’s Berlin Defence. I would really love
to see Kramnik defending the Berlin against Deep Blue.
