This completely depends on the speed of your machine and the time control you
intend to play games at. For a typical machine (i.e. not too fast) and typical
time controls (i.e. blitz), the default of 4MB is just fine. If you intend to
play longer games, or have a very fast machine, then you should probably set it
to 32MB, and that should be good enough for any situation.

If you intend to use the program for very lengthy analysis, you should go to
"Mentor -> Preferences" and set the hash table size for the mentor engine to
64MB. NOTE: This last instruction is assuming that you have a machine with at
least 256MB of RAM. If you have only 128MB of RAM, then you should DEFINITELY
not use a setting of more than 32MB.
