Meanwhile the reports explain, Kramnik was considering Qc4?? earlier and
dismissed it seeing the loss of the knight, but later came back to it after
estimating that other continuations would give him a lost endgame Q+N+3 against
Q+N+4.

(IOW, shit happens :o)
