Subject: Tiger 15 & CM 8000 - 1 game - Good entertainment value for your $

Author: Joe Pechie

I did a manual game today between Tiger 15 and Chessmaster 8000. The time
control was game 30. While I am not a good enough player to know if this was a
well played game it sure was fun to watch. Scores all over the place. The
Trompovsky Attack opening which was an interesting start. The game reminded me
of one of the Deep Blue Kasparov games were many moves into the game white did
not have any pieces past the third rank. For a lot of the game both engines
thought they were winning. A lot of the time Cm would think Tiger was going to
make a move and Tiger would do something else and vice versa. Yea, it was a
quick time control and there is only one game so nothing to learn from that but
it is games like these that keep me interested in chess computers. For those
that are curious why I used the Rebel book for Tiger, I just forgot to switch
after using the Rebel book for a winboard engine.
