From work, I only see his stuff when I click on someone interesting which is followed on by a poster that I do read, as he is in my killfile. I have seen him make a few interesting comments, to tell the truth. When I read r.g.c.c from home [as User923005@aol.com] I have no killfile nor ability to see the poster's name when cruising the newsgroups. Unfortunately, his sensible output is a small fraction of his total output. I think if he should reform on r.g.c.c, then I should have no problem letting him back in to this forum. I am a big proponent of free speech, but also enjoy being able to read and write in a forum that has been somewhat sanitized. You must admit that r.g.c.c was really trashed by some out-of-control blithering idiots for a while. I also admit that I am very abrasive at times [as are many others]. On the other hand, I think some like to be abrasive purely for the purpose of being abrasive. It is a tough line to draw, and I would say that no ban should be forever. If anyone cleans up their act, then why not let them back? Yet if they continue as festering lesions on the buttocks of ignorance, then keep a band-aid on them. Besides, we have no killfiles in here.
