Theain reason I wish to have an engine play against itself is to experiment with
hash table settings, such as 128 MB Hash vs 32 MB Hash in a game 5/12 for
example. Testing Hash table settings between two identical strength engines
seems to me a good way to judge.
I tried using the Shootout option, but the only problem was that niether engine
was able to access the opening book.
Any suggestions?
The Help feature mentions an engine playing against itself as a way to test one
opening book vs another. It does not mention the SHOOTOUT option to do this,
however.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
