I don't. I always try to >"consider the source"... Vincent is one of the interesting posters here. He knows a lot about chess and also about computer chess. His thinking seems very polarized to me: Either an idea is pure excrement or it is a chocolate eclair, and nothing in-between. Now, he goes off on tangents at times. So do I. I tend to be wildly enthusiastic about things that others take very little interest in. I think what I am trying to say is that we all have different personalities. After a while, we recognize whether someone is 'in character' or not. Personally, I don't mind the new bunch of wild posters we have here. It makes the forum interesting to me. I do think the volume has become a bit much to find articles of interest, but at least it is not dying from lack of interest. I think Prof. Hyatt is very even handed about when to apply discipline, and astonishingly so when the attacks are directed at him. I have *never* seen him delete any post that was mocking him unless complaints were received about it (and in most cases someone else deleted it anyway). The forms *were* broken. That is not the fault of the moderators. I also do not blame Steve or the ICD staff. After all, they have a business to run and CCC is just a free service they run. If something needs attention on CCC, I imagine that it will get solved after real business problems are not choking the queue. IOW -- I don't see any serious problems and I don't think any of the moderators have been inattentive. I can guarantee you that I read only a small percentage of the posts and considering the announcement by Steve of the record volume -- I expect that the same is true for everyone else here. I have even received complaints that the volume is too large on the board. But what can we do about that -- talk about dull stuff? ;-)
