Subject: Nullmove code position

Hi all,

in my chess engine the searchfunction looks like this:

1. Look in the HashTable
2. Doing some extensions check, recapture...
3. Checking some conditions to cancel the quience search
4. Nullmove
5. Iterating the moves (AlphaBeta)
6. Write best Move to HashTable

I am thinking about the position of Nullmove.
Is it better placed at step nr. 2 or 3?

What are your experiences?
