Humans have whatever setting is used no chance in blitz games and it is still my opinion that blitz games between computer programs is more or less a waste of time [view from the point of chess quality]. No chess program has ever tied first place at SSDF without being outstandingly strong at longer time controls (Hiarcs, Shredder). And if you know these facts, why not use - CM9 default (or other setting) for blitz games - CM9_Utz12n for games at longer time controls By the way, we are already testing new settings that could even be stronger than CM9_Utz12n. Results in 4-6 weeks after playing 300 and more games at 40'/40. Regards Kurt
