You can actually mix an Athlon XP and MP on the same board, but both CPUs must be set to the same clock speed. The mobo I have (Tyan S2460) does not support altering the clock speed of the CPU so mine must be the same clock speed. If your mobo supports clock speed adjustment of the CPU then you might be able to do it (by reducing the faster CPU).. but it's walking a fine line. Murray
