I request that you look up "totalitarian" in the dictionary and let me know if that is really the word you mean to use, Larry. The reason CCC was founded was to get away from people who want to make outrageous and incorrect claims and assertions about others. Sean Evans caused trouble here from his very first post. Eventually, he was warned to stop doing this kind of thing, and by ignoring the warning made it clear that he was not going to stop. So he is gone from here. If you still want to read his stuff, you can check rec.games.chess.computer, where he is still doing the same old stuff. I'm sure he'll copy either your post or this post and make some comments about it over there. >Perhaps one logical thing that could be done is to establish a time limit for >the banning of any individual, always with an expiration time. People can take responsibility for their actions. If someone wants to cause trouble here, they get kicked out. I would be in favor of letting him back in if I thought that he was unlikely to cause trouble here again. Go over to r.g.c.c. and read Sean's stuff, Larry, and you tell me if this group could use another dose of Sean Evans. >Suggestion, 1 month first offense, 3 months 2nd offense, 1 year 3rd offense. >True, the moderators would have to do a lot more work, keeping taps on what & >who, and also notifying the offending party(s) why they were being temporarily >banned, quoting offending post where necessary.
