Using my program as a benchmark, a P4 2.8ghz outperforms the Athlon 1900+
(1.6ghz) by 16%.  So I would assume the 2400+ is faster than the P4 2.8.
However, these small differences don't affect chess play much.  To make any real
differnce, you'd have to wait for the P4 6ghz, or similar.
