Windows XP Professional supports dual cpus. Windows XP Home supports only 1 cpu, therefore only *one* cpu will be used for programs (even programs that can use multiple cpus). Also, I might add that I have heard that the smp function in Deep Fritz 6 had some issues with the AMD dual cpu machines, but not with Intel dual cpu machines, so that may also be a reason for slower than expected speeds with dual amd cpus and Deep Fritz 6. I believe DF7 has fixed this smp problem. - Brandon S. P.S. I don't thinkDeep Junior 6/7 ever had this smp problem with AMD chips, just DF.
