Deep Fritz has never played Deep Blue. Frankly I don't think Deep Fritz is even in the same league as Deep Blue but we'll never know as Deep Blue no longer exists as a working system. The fact that Kramnik had the program for over a year and did not win the match is truly amazing. I can only conclude that he either: 1. Failed to prepare. (Was overconfident of winning.) or 2. The whole result was pre-arranged. Unfortunately I find option #2 more likely. Chris Kantack http://home.earthlink.net/~kantack/lcdchess/home.htm
