I'am a certainly strong enough player to understand this position and comments i
heard from other strong International Masters made the same comment!
Of course it's not a mistake if that's truely what Kramnik wanted to play! But
it's truely an incorrect move in most cases according to certain basic rules of
chess that states that you don't trade down your pieces to bring the game closer
to an endgame when you have a weak vulnerable isolated pawn which comes closer
to being captured in an endgame position with less pieces on the board!
This then benifits Deep fritz in most scenerios so then why would the Fritz team
not allow it to atleast try to play on a little further unless you know already
that Deep Fritz doesn't have the understanding to make progress and then turn it
into a win!
Or, was the Fritz team basically giving the world champion "respect"?

Terry
