Well, I guess I am a bit confused by that. To me, censorship means refusing to
let someone else read something. [I do not do that.]

But mere refusal to read what someone else has written is not what I would call
censorship. For example, I refuse to read SPAM, but I do not try to keep
anybody else from reading it.

On the other hand, the CCC moderators do have a responsibility to control what
appears on this bulletin board. Their charter is well defined. They should do
their job, it seems to me. Job descriptions can always be changed later if
necessary. Keeping the bulletin board free of material that most of the CCC
membership does not want to see here seems fair enough to me. After all, this
is a privately owned bulletin board and not a public bulletin board. The right
of free speech applies in a public place but not in private places. Am I right
about this?

Incidentally, I am not sure what prompted your remark. What did I say???? Do
you feel that I am somehow obligated to read everything? To me, the moderators
are my agents. They help me to keep objectionable material off of this private
bulletin board. Thanks, moderators, for doing your job! As long as they stick
to the charter approved by the majority, then I am happy. Very happy!
