ME and i don't always turn off my restore function, though i did turn it off at times. I always make sure to turn off other programs by using the "control, alt, deleat" and removing all but system tray and explorer! I guess i need to uncheck the system restore to make sure it don't run while i'am running a computer vs computer tournament. Do you think that some of my missing files are in the restore folder? I guess i'll take the advice of Manfred to use the utility to see which files if any are missing! Thanks for your suggestions, much appreciated! Terry
