It depends upon the program. For me a 1.9Ghz K7 is faster than a 2.8Ghz P4. That 2.8Ghz P4 the shops still do not deliver here. You can order it but it won't get delivered yet. Insomniac and Warp were supposed to play at a 2.8Ghz P4 at the dutch open computerchamps. However till today it wasn't delivered. Ordered more than a month ago now. For DIEP where each Mhz of a K7 is same speed like 1.5Mhz of a northwood with DDR ram (not the very slow rdram, that's making the machine for DIEP 15% slower). That's easy math ain't it? However for some programs i see it's less than 1.5, in which case the P4 is way faster. > >>Note that 'MP' is used for K7s.
