Subject: How do I stop memory leaks? (OT, sorry)

I know this q. has been asked many times before but I am still somewhat confused
about this. I recently set DF7 analysing a position over night only to find 10
hours later that it was analysing at 1 knps! This was on a laptop with a P4 2.2
(desktop) cpu 512 ram (192mb for hash). I think I am right in saying that this
was due to memory leak. Any idea how I can prevent this do retail progs. like
memturbo really help or is there a free solution?
