Many thanks for the responses, they were greatly appreciated.
I have decided to purchase MemTurbo as I have downloaded the free trial and
tested it extensively for the last few hours (I know,I know- not long enough but
I'm an impetious fool with more money than sense). I have noticed the most
appaling memory leak on my system:( However MemTurbo seems to be able to recover
the vast majority of it. I have tried cacheman on this system but to be honest I
didn't really notice any difference. MemTurbo 'appears' to keep my system
running at a very high level. BTW the position in question was the
er...'peasant'?? position that was posted here a couple of days ago, y'know the
one with the 30 year history of how this 'serf' analysed the same position every
day of his life for God knows how long etc. Pity he didn't have a ZX81 eh:)))
Then he could have gone out once and a while and his wife might not have left
him and God might not have sent him to Hell for wasting his entire life
etc...etc..:)))
regards
Rory
