I don't think you understood me at all, but one thing I would say anyway, is
that I certainly think there is more to life than drinking beer (or whatever)
and waiting for the next computer rating lists to arrive, and then promptly
buying all (or most, or many of) the new programs as soon as it's available, and
going straight to the blitz setting and getting beaten, and coming back for
more. And continue in that way till the next programs arrive and doing the same
with them, and always hoping that the next program (or upgrade) will beat you
(against your will presumably) in even less moves than the one before, or
perhaps to enjoy the better appearance of the board, or something different, and
the only kick to get out of the whole thing is that "this beat this and that
lost to that etc. and that's what I'M being beaten by now. And I hope to
continue these pleasures till my last day etc And my most fervent wish is that
some time after I die, they will make REALLY lovely board designs on the
computer screen which REALLY does blitz, blitz and more blitz"!

And I was simply saying that I personally don't understand what great "good"
that is which "comes to those who wait".
